Welcome to the bountiful month of September! We had a lovely August send-off with some delightfully cool summer weather, and we’re headed into prime harvest season – where sweet peppers & vine ripe tomatoes meet the first tender green crops of fall. With ninety percent of our plantings behind us, your farmers are cleaning up spring fields, starting to cover crop for fall, and planning ahead for next year’s growing season (…crazy to think about already!) But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we’ve got another delicious week of produce for you to pick up at the CSA this week. Please note that we will definitely have UPick Crops again this week – Cherry tomatoes, Beans, and Flowers – in addition to the bounty of produce on the harvest table. Check in with a farmer for more details, and we’ll see you at Flipside soon!

Tomato Sauce Buckets – IF you are still interested, please respond to this email to reserve one in advance! 15 lbs of tomatoes, 1 bunch basil, 1 head of garlic for your complete sauce making needs.

Flower Bouquets – We really hope you can make it out to the fields to cut flowers from our wonderful UPick selection this season! However, if you’re short on time, or just want a pre-arranged bouquet, please respond to this email to reserve. Thanks!

Please note, that you can always “Skip a Week” in advance during our CSA to avoid paying for a pickup that you can’t make, with no penalty.  For all questions regarding billing, program info, and Skip a Week, please email contactus@JustFarmed.com.  For questions regarding the farm or our growing practices, feel free to respond to this email.

JUST FARMED + FLIPSIDE FARM

Flipside Farm is now officially part of the Just Farmed family! On the surface, not much has changed (YES, your farmers are still here at Flipside Farm gearing up for the growing season ahead). Just Farmed is the delivery arm of our operation, and through our relationships with other farms in the local area, the goal is to improve your experience by improving our flexibility and seasonal variety. While Flipside Farm grows the vast majority of produce in our CSA (red oak lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, spring onions, fresh garlic), we sometimes partner with other growers to bring you the crops that are tricky for us to harvest here in Bedminster (a.k.a potatoes & spring carrots). Through Just Farmed, we are excited to offer additional flexibility through the CSA season, which allows you to skip weeks if you are away during the season. Click the sign-up buttons to find our more information about how are partnership works, and to register for our upcoming CSA season!

CSA PICKUP

FLOWERS

Flipside Farm produces nutrient-rich, ecologically-healthy, chemical-free produce for your family through our CSA: Community Supported Agriculture, on our 93-acre farm in Bedminster, NJ. With our partners Just Farmed, we provide veggies and fruits to your family year-round.

In 2020 we are changing our organic certification from PCO to NJDA.
Check out our pledge to follow chemical-free, ecological growing methods.
